Shoe Addiction

Disclaimer: Don't read if you don't care much for shoes.

If you are a friend of mine, an officemate or if you are someone I see frequently, you probably already know about me and my shoe addiction.

There is something extremely satisfying about having the perfect statement high heels for any outfit. I don't know what started this -- I guess it began when I started working and I would casually pass by the mall near our office. I would pick one to two pairs, try 'em on, and see if they look soooo good on me...then end up withdrawing money and buying that,(or pulling out my debit card). Good thing, I don't have credit card up until now; not even planning to get one anyway. (Compulsive shoe buyer here. HAHA!)

Lately, it has been even HARDER to curb my addiction. I'm currently working from home (so grateful that I'm still able to earn- for shoes?) and since this pandemic started, too many online shops are on SALE! You probably know the drill, girls - add to cart, check out then place order. I honestly really don't mind where will I use a pair of shoes that I bought online... as long as I want it, I'll buy it.

I’ve only semi-slowed down recently when I asked Kelvin to accompany me to the mall because I want to buy a pair of shoes and he was like "Di mo pa nga nagagamit yung anniversary gift ko sa'yo, bibili ka na naman? Display mo lang naman sa kwarto mo." (True.)

At that point, I felt like cheating on all the heels that I have bought; only worn once or twice then I would start looking for the next one to buy. I think it’s really just how consumerism is. HAHA!

"I'm not afraid of heights. Have you seen my shoes?"

These are just a few pairs. Hoping that I can somewhat curb this shoe addiction. *crossed fingers*
